I was born in Genoa in 1961. After graduating from secondary school, I entered college intending to become an architect. With hard work and tremendous effort, I succeeded in school, but I also realized that architecture was not going to be my life's work. I had always been interested in photography and became an assistant to a professional photographer in 1983.
Soon afterward, I opened my own photographic studio in Genoa, and for 15 years we have been working steadily, particularly in the advertising industry. Learning from a professional and then going into business for myself has proven to be a valuable educational experience in its own right.
Through the years, I have refined my techniques in still-life photography, particularly with the use of light to capture beautiful images. My work includes photography for companies that produce watches, high-quality alcoholic beverages, diving equipment, and more. Of course, photographing outstanding custom knives remains a passion for me.
